Hello, have you heard about Larry?
Larry is Adele's facial hair. Yes, you read that correctly. While performing at a sold-out concert in Scotland on Friday, the singer, 27, told the crowd, 'When I got pregnant I had so much testosterone in me that I grew a beard...I only cropped it last night.
'It's actually true. I'm not telling a joke. I actually have a beard, but I'm proud of it. I call it Larry.'
The mom of three-year-old Angelo didn't say how she cropped her beard, but don't start picturing her with a face full of shaving cream and a razor in her hand, a la The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Caroline Manzo just yet.

Not a hair out of place: Adele, 27, admits that she had so much testosterone in her when she was pregnant with three-year-old son, Angelo, that she had a full beard - and named it Larry

Fact or fiction? The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Caroline Manzo (pictured on the show) said shaving her face keeps her skin looking young because of the exfoliation benefits. Experts are largely divided on the claim
There are plenty of options besides shaving for those who prefer a fuzz-free mug. (Besides, Caroline has always maintained she shaves her face for the exfoliation, not hair-removal, benefits.)
If you go to a professional, you have several choices for hair removal. 'I always tell my clients that facial hair is tricky!' Nikki Babian, a hair removal specialist at Spruce & Bond Scarsdale, told Femail.
'Depending on the color and texture of the hair on your face, different hair removal methods are better than others. The dark course hairs can be treated by laser hair removal, but the soft light peach fuzz should be left to waxing.'
Here, Nikki breaks down some of the pros and cons to each service:
WAXING
Pros:
-Hair grows back thinner and less dense
-Skin remains smooth for the first days after treatment
-OK for women who are pregnant
Cons:
-Not permanent, the client must come back every four to six weeks
-Should not be used on clients who have had recent sun exposure, are taking Retin-A, retinol products or photosensitive medications
LASER
Pros:
-Permanent hair reduction after a cycle of consecutive treatments
-Decrease in ingrown hairs
-Ability to shave between appointments
Cons:
-Should not be used on clients who have had recent sun exposure, are taking Retin-A, retinol products or photosensitive medications
-Up-front costs can be high, depending on the size of the area and number of treatments

ShareNikki always recommends that women see a pro for hair removal. 'There are many things that could go wrong at home, such as an allergic reaction to the product, wax being too hot, or even ripping your skin off,' she explained.
But if seeing a professional isn't an option for you, there are things you can do at home - including lasers.
Many of the new devices will give you similar results as pro treatments; it'll just take longer. The LumaRx, for instance, uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to penetrate deep into the skin to reach the hair root.
According to the company, 'the heat stuns the active hair follicles, breaking the growth cycle and disrupting future hair growth. As a result, treated hair typically begins to fall out within seven to ten days.'
Three treatments, however, are recommended during the first month, with additional touch-ups as needed. And this particular device is not intended for women with darker skin tones.

Non-laser, at-home treatment options for removing facial hair also abound, and the price points are much more affordable.
These at-home treatments are typically split into three categories: creams, lighteners and waxes.
Depilatory creams are usually painless and inexpensive, and the results last somewhere between what you get from shaving and waxing.
If you're going to go this route, make sure to choose a product that says it's safe for use on the face, and do a patch test on your arm before applying it elsewhere to make sure you don't have an adverse reaction to it.
Lightening creams and serums are good for women who want to lessen the color of their facial hair but don't necessarily want or need to remove it.
Forty-three-year-old Thandie Newton is a fan. The actress once Instagrammed a pic with the caption, 'Jolen, Jolen, Jolene Jo-le e ene… My name is Thandie and I have a bit of a tache. I use Jolene Cream Bleach.’ Her make-up artist, Kay Montano, then showed her own 'stache-removal pic.

And if you're looking for something with a little more sparkle, Brazilian brand Sol de Janeiro's golden body veil both lightens peach fuzz and gives it a slight Jennifer Lopez-esque glow.
Be sure to patch test lightening creams before applying to your face or large areas of the body as well.
Finally, there are at-home waxing kits. The ouch factor on these can be high, but as long as you follow the instructions, they are doable.
