Nestle has discontinued another beloved chocolate bar following the axing of the Caramac.
Animal Bar, a fan favourite since 1963, is also being taken off shelves due to a "steady decline in sales," Nestle confirmed.
Chocolate fans took to social media to share their despair after hearing the news.
"Lots of misjudged outrage over Nestle axing the Caramac when really you should be mourning the death of the humble Animal bar. A childhood classic," said one user on X.
"Please don't discontinue the Animal Bar it's the best," pleaded another.

Hellmann's Dijionnaise, labelled by some fans as the "best sauce ever", has been discontinued.
The company confirmed the news on social media after fans of the sauce started to wonder why it was so hard to track down in stores.
Hellmann's wrote on X: "We're sorry to share that our Dijonnaise was discontinued. We'll let our team know you've asked about it, though."
The sauce creators added that the discontinuation was due to "restrictions as a result of the pandemic" and the company "don't have plans to bring it back."

Popular Christmas treat Cadbury Snaps discontinued
Cadbury Snaps, a Christmas favourite for many Brits, has been officially discontinued, the chocolate giant confirmed on X/Twitter.
When baffled shoppers weren't able to find the item in stores, many fans urged Cadbury to "bring these back".
However, they were met with a crushing response from Cadbury: "Hey, Cadbury Snaps have been discontinued, however we still have lots of other chocolatey treats to try."
But a promising alternative has been spotted at Costco just in time for the festive season.
Fans call for Caramac to be 'saved'
Disappointed fans of the discontinued Caramac have taken to social media to call on Nestle to "save" their beloved chocolate bar.
Some Caramac fans have started the "#savecaramac" hashtag on X to voice their frustration at the loss of their favourite chocolate treat.

Remembering the popular Caramac/Kit Kat collaboration
In 2005, Nestle paired Caramac with Kit Kat to make a limited edition Caramac Kit Kat bar.
The collaboration was a big hit and was brought back by popular demand in 2007.
Nestle also produced Caramac buttons in 2015.
Fans mourn discontinued Nestle treat
The Caramac chocolate bar wasn’t the only beloved treat that Nestle discontinued this year, with the confectionery giant also axing the Carnation Extra Thick Cream.
The dessert essential, used for a topping or filling, was popular with fans, but clearly not popular enough.
Nestle has slowly phased out the item since the begging of 2023 and fans of the product say the move has “ruined family desserts”.
One X user said: "Come on Nestle … do the right thing and reverse your decision to discontinue Carnation Thick Cream.
"You have ruined my family's trifle!!"
Another added: "Why [has] the carnation extra thick has been discontinued? Did you know it can be used to make amazing desserts?"
